WHO ARE WE?

ABOUT
LIVE BAIT is an NYC-based J-fashion select shop carrying curated secondhand and slow fashion indie brands. We love Lolita, punk, goth, decora, gyaru, karasu-zoku— basically if it looks like you’d have found it wandering Laforet Harajuku in the last 40 years, it’s probably in our mix. 

We also carry brand print goods (look books, post cards), fashion magazines (Gothic & Lolita Bible, Egg, KERA, Larme), visual kei items, and vintage shoujo manga and stationary goods. 

Since spring of 2025, LIVE BAIT has vended at several NYC-based Japanese fashion and culture events. From April-October 2025, we had a semi-permanent home under the BQE with BQ Flea Market. After a few holiday pop-ups, LIVE BAIT found its home at The Loft at Brooklyn's Japan Village in Industry City.

WHO RUNS LIVE BAIT?
Juno is the founder of LIVE BAIT. Juno is a long time Lolita and mod of the NYC Lolitas community. He is presently in graduate school.

Jacques is the (local bridge troll) current face behind LIVE BAIT for events. They also mod the NYC Lolitas community and have been involved in Anglophone Lolita, visual kei, and general j-fashion spaces since the early-00s.
